Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer .STL 1/10
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer was a German tank destroyer introduced during World War II. It was built on the chassis of the Czechoslovak light tank LT vz. 38, which speaks to the quality of the original design. The Hetzer (German for “baiter” or “chased one”) was designed as a cheaper, more compact, and easier-to-produce alternative to larger and more complex German tank destroyers. Thanks to its low silhouette and sloped armor, it was hard to hit and well-protected despite its relatively light weight and small size.
The tank destroyer was armed with a 75 mm PaK 39 gun, capable of dealing with most Allied armored vehicles. It was crewed by four men – driver, gunner, loader, and commander. The vehicle stood out for its simplicity, reliability, and low maintenance, making it ideal for mass production and deployment in field conditions.
The Hetzer saw action on both the Eastern and Western fronts and was also used post-war – for example, by the Swiss army. Today, it remains one of the iconic armored vehicles of its era and a popular model among collectors and hobbyists.
The 1:10 scale tank kit is primarily designed for remote control. However, it can also be used as a static display piece. STL files are designed for detailed and realistic construction, catering to military technology enthusiasts. The model’s chassis features realistic leaf spring suspension, inspired by the original vehicle. The structure is designed for modular assembly – most components are connected with screws and glue, ensuring high structural strength. The upper hull is easily detachable for convenient access to electronics, easy maintenance, and simplified repairs.
The model can optionally be enhanced with a variety of features – such as airsoft mechanics, gun recoil, a functional exhaust with smoke effect, or a sound module. The print files are optimized for home 3D printers, focusing on easy printing and assembly.
